ORDINANCE NO. 10345 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING BONDS TERRACE, JODY LANE, AND NAPIER DRIVE, LOCATED SOUTHWEST OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD, SOUTHEAST OF HAMILTON PLACE BOULEVARD, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN. _______________________ SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby closed and abandoned Bonds Terrace, Jody Lane, and Napier Drive, more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: 1. Bonds Terrace, a 50 foot wide right-of-way beginning on the southeast line of Napier Drive some 412.3 feet southwest of the intersection of the southeast line of Napier Drive with the southwest line of Shallowford Road (as now widened), and extending southeast and southwest between parallel lines to the northeast line of Conner Lane (an unopened 45 foot wide right-of-way). 2. Jody Lane, a 50 foot wide right-of-way beginning on the southeast line of Hamilton Place Boulevard 313.6 feet northeast of the intersection of the southeast line of Hamilton Place Boulevard with the northeast line of Conner Lane (if extended northwestwardly), and extending southeast between parallel lines to the northwest line of Bonds Terrace. 3. Part of Napier Drive, a right-of-way varying in width from 50 feet to 100 feet and beginning on the northwest line of Napier Drive (a 100 foot wide right-of-way) 8.22 feet southwest of the intersection of the northwest line of Napier Drive with the southeast line of Hamilton Place Boulevard, thence at a right angle southeast 100 feet with the extension of the northeast line of Bonds Terrace to the southeast line of Napier Drive, thence at a right angle southwest 50 feet, crossing Bonds Terrace to the southwest line thereof, thence northwest with Bonds Terrace 23 feet to the southeast line of Napier Drive (a 50 foot right-of-way), thence southwest with Napier Drive to the northeast line of Conner Lane (an unopened 40 foot wide right-of-way), thence northwest 50 feet with Conner Lane to the northwest line of Napier Drive, thence northeast with Napier Drive to a point 30 feet southwest of the northeast line of Bonds Terrace (if extended northwestwardly), thence at a right angle northwest 27 feet to the northwest line of the 100 foot wide Napier Drive, thence at a right angle northeast 30 feet with the northwest line of Napier Drive to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
